About this Privacy Policy : This Privacy Policy provides information on how we at Ragsons Kenya Limited collects your personal data when you visit our website or mobile application, processes such information, sets out what we do with your personal data and how we keep it secure and explains the rights that you have in relation to your personal data
Who we are : We are the leading General Hardware, Agricultural Equipment Power Tools, Small Generators, Bathroom, Kitchen & Drapery Hardware as well as Home Automation and CCTV Cameras amongst others products distributors in Kenya. Ragsons Kenya Limited website and/or Mobile Phone application is operated by ourselves.
Your data that we collect : The personal data we collect is personal details and information that you enter and provide to us when you register on our website and mobile application platform. Your personal data that we collect is to enable us to provide tailored products, promotional offers that we may run from time to time and enable you to securely log into our website and mobile phone application to place orders, make payments for your orders via M-pesa Paybill and/or M-pesa Till Number, Credit Card, Debit Card or Direct to Bank payment method as well as view your transactions history. Ragsons Kenya Limited also uses Google Digital Marketing, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms to propose targeted offers for certain products to our customers, advertise our products as well as communicate general information and upcoming events.

The personal data we collect and store includes:

  • Your contact details such as your name, physical location, postal addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.
  • Online registration information you enter such as the password you create or update and other authentication information.
  • Your payment information such as your credit card information, mobile phone number for M-pesa payment, direct to bank payment mode and billing address.
  • The Information provided as part of online questionnaires such as responses to any customer satisfaction surveys or market research and surveys.
  • Your product purchasing preferences.
Use of Demographic / Profile Data / Your Information : We use your personal information to provide the product you request. If and when we use your personal information to market our products to you, we will provide you the ability to opt-out of such uses. We use your personal information in handling and fulfilling orders; enhancing customer experience; resolve disputes; troubleshoot problems; help promote a safe service; collect payments; measure consumer interest in our products; inform you about online and offline offers, products, and updates; customize and enhance your experience; detect and protect ourselves against error, fraud and other criminal activity; enforce our terms and conditions; and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection of information.

We may have send to you SMS, instant messages, WhatsApp messages and with your consent we may have access to your location, camera, photo gallery and device information. We may also request you to provide your Kenya Revenue Authority PIN Number, Government issued ID card number and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) details to:

  1. Check your eligibility for certain products and services including but not limited to credit and payment products;
  2. Issue ETR invoice for the products and services purchased for your business requirements;
  3. Enhance your experience on the Platform and provide you access to the products and services being offered by us. You understand that your access to these products/services may be affected in the event consent is not provided to us.

In our efforts to continually improve our product and service offerings, we collect and analyze demographic and profile data about our users' activity on our Platform. We identify and use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Platform.
